Intermediate and Advanced Jewelry

Intermediate:

 Intermediate jewelry will allow students who completed Beginning Jewelry to expand their skills. Students will explore new techniques while focusing on observation and compositional elements. Contemporary trends in jewelry will be integrated within this course to enrich student knowledge and awareness. Typically, students explore using various media, such as glass, plastic, copper-enameled, brass, and silver. Course topics include exposure to jewelry of diverse world cultures and the history of jewelry design.

Advanced:

Jewelry-Advanced is designed to provide the student with a more in depth approach to jewelry design work. Students will explore a wide range of media while strengthening their skills, focusing on a high level of expressiveness. Students will analyze their own work as well as study the merits and meanings of contemporary and historical works of art.
