Join Band or Orchestra

Interested in joining band or orchestra? Find more information here!

Information/Rental Night:
All students and parents interested in Band and Orchestra should come to the Information/Rental Night at Summit Ridge on August 30th at 6:30 PM. You will get all the information you will need about the program, classes, and the various instruments that students can choose. Students will get to try all of the instruments to decide what would be the best fit for them. There will also be music stores to help your student get set up with the instrument that they choose and all necessary supplies.

How to Join:
Please look at all of the handouts below. Once you have decided FOR SURE that you will be joining, and know what instrument you will be playing, register for class by clicking on the "Registration Form" link.

Class Schedule:
Classes will begin the first week of September. Beginners do not need to get their instruments or bring them to class until the second week of September. The class schedule page has the schedule for your school.

School Instruments
School instruments are reserved for students on the Free Lunch program and for families with financial need. If you need to sign up for a school instrument, please come to the Information/Rental Night. There will be a sign-up form to fill out there. If you can't make it that night, please email Mrs. Welch with your first choice and second choice instrument. I will bring the instrument and a rental contract to class. Families will need to sign a contract before the student will be allowed to take the instrument home.

Start with the "Beginning Band and Orchestra 2017" sheet, which will tell you all about classes and how to get an instrument. This was sent home in Friday Folders on August 25th.

The Agreement Form will be due before September 29th, 2017.

The Handbook contains the class overview, rules, and concert dates for this school year.

The "Info Night Presentation" contains the info Mrs. Welch will be going over at Info Night.

Please check out the Supply List for what you will need depending on which instrument you choose.
