December Newsletter
The December Newsletter was emailed to parents/guardians on December 14th. It can also be found on the class page links above.


Jazz Band
Jazz band began on Thursday, December 13th. Anyone in advanced band and orchestra may join! We also need drumset, guitar, and piano players, so if you know any 6th graders who take lessons, pass along the info! You may still join even if you missed the first (few) rehearsal(s). Please see the Jazz Band page for more information.


Important Dates
  • December 13th – First Jazz Band practice
  • After School Rehearsals for Advanced Band/Orchestra @ SRMS Instrumental Music Room
    • Three dates in March/April before the Spring Concert. Rehearsal dates and times TBA.
  • April 23rd – Spring Orchestra Concert @ SRMS Gymnasium, 7-8 PM
  • April 24th – Spring Band Concert @ SRMS Gymnasium, 7-8 PM
  • May 8th – Area Jazz Band Concert @ Mercury Café, 5-7 PM
  • May 16th – School Tour Field Trip, Advanced Band and Advanced Orchestra Only, 7:30 AM-3:30 PM
    • Assembly Performances at each school. Times TBA.
