A place to improve you!

North Arvada Physical Education

I appreciate the opportunity to be a part of your child's or special someone's life. I strive each and every day to be a positive influence and to push them to be a better person. I have developed a fun and challenging program that teaches character, sportsmanship, sport skills and strategies, weight training principles, cardiovascular fitness, and the concept of "hard work pays off".

PE classes work on improving and understanding these lifelong components of wellness:
  • Health related components are: Cardiovascular fitness, body composition, muscular strength, flexibility, and muscular endurance.
  • Skill related components are: Agility, balance, reaction time, power, coordination, and speed.
In the weight room, the students will learn many resistance training principles. Weight room etiquette, basic safety, spotting techniques, intensity, full range of motion, tempo, as well as personal fitness testing, importance of monitoring progress, and goal setting will all be covered one day each week.

Please refer to the PE expectations link if you have any questions of basic needs.

Remind the students to dress for the weather. If it is cold and our unit of study is an outside activity; we will most likely be outside. Warm clothing, hats, and sunscreen are always recommended.

I also offer an after school weight training club from 3:25 until 4:00 p.m. on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays.  Please click on the permission form at the bottom of this page to print and sign.
