Questions have arisen regarding the Bond/Mill Levy which will appear on the November ballot. Jeffco Public Schools has created a website containing the facts related to the Bond/Mill Levy. Included on the website is a link to Ralston Elementary so you can view the proposed plans for Ralston should the Bond/Mill Levy be approved by voters.
Please mark October 5th on your calendar! The most important action you can take to support school funding is to make sure your student attends school on October 5th. Much of public education funding from the State of Colorado is based on student count, and the official student count day this year is October 5th.
The “count window” observed by the state is September 28 – October 12, and the key student count day is Wednesday, October 5. Please help us ensure all our students are accurately counted by having your student in class that day!
If your child must be absent on Oct. 5 due to serious illness, please call our attendance line, 303-982-4350. Attendance during the “count window” will help counteract an absence on October 5th, but it’s best to come to school that day.
Thank you for your support of Ralston Elementary School!
We are very excited that author Roland Smith will be visiting Ralston on Monday October 10th, 2016. Students in grades third through sixth will be attending an assembly led by Roland. Ralston has partnered with Hearthfire Books in Evergreen to pre-order novels for the author to sign and inscribe to students. Please see the attached order form if you are interested in adding one of Roland Smith's titles to your collection. Forms are due back to the library by Friday September 30th.
The schedule is still being determined for the day. It will be posted on the Ralston website when finalized. Parents are welcome to attend the author visit.
