About Prospect Valley

Prospect Valley Elementary serves a dedicated community of students, teachers, and parents. We have tremendous support with our many parent, grandparent and community volunteers. They make a huge difference for our students and teachers. Our commitment to rigorous academic standards, positive citizenship, and a commitment to promoting a wide variety of academic enrichment creates a great neighborhood school and results in a high percentage of choice enrolled students.

At Prospect Valley, students can also participate in Chess Club, the Geography Bee, Spelling Bee, Reflections, Student Council, Peer Mediation, Mad Science, and Spanish. For more information about Chess Club, Student Council or Peer Mediation, see the page below.

We also offer a wide variety of intramural and extra-curricular activities. Our PE teacher, Ms. Squiers, coaches several different intramurals for 5th and 6th graders. These include: Track&Field, Soccer, Flag Football, Volleyball, Floor Hockey, and Softball. Our Music teacher, Ms. Jerman, produces 3 outstanding programs each year and works with 5th and 6th graders conducting Choir and Handbells.
