Pomona has a variety of clubs and organizations through which students can get actively involved. Joining any of these organizations allows students to meet with success outside the academic arena. Students meet new people, provide assistance for community groups, learn leadership skills, assist other Pomona students, and become responsible citizens. Also, students involved in the classroom and in extracurricular activities will increase levels of success during their high school experience at Pomona High School! Analecta – This organization publishes a journal at the end of the year that includes student poems and short stories. If you are a creative writer or are interested in this area, please see Mr. Scott Allen 303-982-0651 or Room 547.

Anime Club - An energetic and friendly group who meets the first and third Fridays of the month at 2:35 PM in the library. For all Manga and Anime lovers, or for students looking for a compassionate and kind group of creative friends. Contact sponsor Ms. Judy Sims at 303-982-0632.

Annual Musical Production – Pomona’s Musicals are major events scheduled throughout the school year. Auditions are open to all students at Pomona High School. We are looking for singers, actors, and dancers. See Sponsors Mr. Jesse Collett or Mr. Richard Clark.

B.I.O.N.I.C. (Believe It Or Not I Care) Team - Do you want to make a difference? This organization helps fellow students and staff through challenging times. Striving to create a more caring climate by reaching out to; new students, sick students, students and staff who have lost loved ones, bullied students, other schools that experience tragedy, and the elderly. This club meets the last Monday of the month during Advisement. Chess Club -  This is a casual opportunity to learn how to play chess and/or test your skills as a player. The Chess Club meets every Thursday at 2:45 p.m. in Room 504 with sponsor, Ms. Lyn Hoflin. Her email is lhoflin@jeffco.k12.co.us.

Color Guard – A performance group that creates spectacular movement to enhance the Marching Band and Winter Guard performances. The instruction and utilization of flags, dance and rifles are incorporated and choreographed to a performance level. This is open to all students, no experience is necessary. DECA - DECA is an Inter-Curricular (integrated into classroom content) Career and Technical Student Organization whose purpose is to develop future leaders in Marketing and Management through classroom activities, chapter activities and competition at the District, State and National levels. Family Career and Community Leaders of America/Comprehensive (FCCLA) – The family is the focus of FCCLA as students work to develop personal growth, leadership, family and community involvement, and an understanding of the dual roles of men and women. Family Career and Community Leaders of America / Occupational FCCLA – This organization functions in conjunction with Family & Consumer Science classes. This organization has district, state, and national affiliations and may include involvement at all levels. FCCLA provides opportunities to develop leadership in the areas of personal growth, family life, vocational preparation, and community involvement. Improv – This organization produces improvised theatrical productions and hosts workshops open to any student throughout the year. You can demonstrate your theatrical talents while participating in the Catwalk Theatre Company's Improv 4203. Marching Band – Pomona’s Marching Band has been awarded the highest of acknowledgments as Colorado State Champion and one of our Nation’s Best. In addition to State and National Competitions students also provide entertainment at sporting events, pep rallies and parades. Pomona’s band had the opportunity to perform for the Summit of Eight Conferences, the Pasadena Tournament of Rose Parade and in London, England. See sponsor, Mr. Tim Dailey 303-982-0726.

National Honor Society (NHS) – This national organization is comprised of students from 10th to 12th grade who have a grade point average of 3.6 or above. Members are required to complete community service hours each semester and projects are offered through NHS during the year for members to attain hours. NHS supports academic excellence among all Pomona students & sponsors the two Academic Awards Ceremonies. Outdoor Lab - This organization is for juniors and seniors who work with elementary students at one of the Jefferson County Schools outdoor labs. Students receive half an academic credit for serving as a counselor/leader during this week. Interested students must complete an application at the beginning of the school year. Student Voice - This organization is a district wide initiative that empowers students from diverse backgrounds with leadership, cultural awareness, teamwork and advocacy skills. Spirit Team: Cheers & Poms - This organization promotes the spirit, pride and traditions of Pomona High School. Male and female students in grades 9 through 12 are encouraged to tryout in the spring. Please contact  please contact Terri Archer, Athletic Secretary, at 303-982-5106.
