The Password Reset tool benefits users by allowing them to reset their passwords without having to contact the Technology Support - Even when they cannot log into their workstations!

Password changes using the tool will occur for the following systems: Email, PeopleSoft, Campus, SOARS, Bridge to Curriculum, Schoology, Enrich and Google Apps.

The tool does not currently change passwords for:  SchoolMessenger, TeacherMatch. Password changes for these applications should continue to be made using their current method.

How to Register for the Password Reset Tool

In order to use the Password Reset tool 
you must pre-register:

Registration involves the selection of personal questions and answers.  In the future, these will allow you to prove your identity to the system, even if you forgot your password.

How to register:

  1. Type in your AD/ESS Username and then click the ‘Continue’ button
  2. Select the ‘Use password’ option
  3. Enter your AD/ESS password and then click the ‘Verify password’ button
  4. Select and answer 2 pre-defined and 1 user defined question (click the ‘Update’ button after you enter each question and answer)
  5. Click the ‘Update’ button again once you are done
  6. Click on ‘Main menu’ icon
  7. Click on ‘Change passwords’ button
          NOTE: Your new password must:
    • have at least 8 characters
    • not contain your user name or any part of your full name
    • contain 3 of the 4 character types: upper case letters, lower case letters, numbers and/or special characters/punctuation. DO NOT use spaces in your password as Google does not allow a space in passwords
    • not be an old password
  1. Be sure to log out of your workstation and log back in with your new password to verify access

IMPORTANT: If staff or students have any personal devices (iPads, Smartphones, etc.) set up to access the Jeffco Wireless Network, Jeffco Email, Calendar & Contacts, they must also go in to their device settings and change the password to their new password immediately.
