The Jeffco Schools Adult ESL Program

The Adult ESL (English as a Second Language) Program is offered to adults ages 18 and over for a minimal fee.  Day and evening English ESL classes are available.  Classes are designed to challenge the English language learner to improve listening, speaking, reading, and writing and grammar skills.  Adult learners have the opportunity to take Beginning through Advanced level classes.  Childcare is available for a small monthly fee.  Interactive computer programs and basic computer skills are taught at all levels.  Pre and post-test assessments are used to measure student progress and guide instruction.

There are 15 classes per semester (fall and spring).  There are 4 locations to choose from and each site either has day or night classes offered.  Classes are located in Lakewood at Alameda International H.S., Arvada at Thomson Elementary and Arvada H.S. and Edgewater at Jefferson H.S.  Registration begins the week of January 14th.  Classes begin January 22nd.  Call to schedule an appointment if you miss registration.  The flyer for the 2013 spring schedule is available in the main office of your child’s school.
