Oberon Weekly Update: Nov. 13, 2016

posted Nov 14, 2016, 1:04 PM by Tara Peña

Happy Sunday Oberon Parents! Today is Sunday, November 13th, and this is your weekly Oberon update.

  • Happy (belated) Veteran's Day to all of the proud and brave veterans in our Oberon community.  We thank you for your service to our great country!
  • First trimester report cards are available for viewing on Parent Portal.
  • Our next PAC meeting is tomorrow, November 14th from 5:30 - 6:30 pm in the Oberon Libratory. All parents are welcome to attend.
  • Tomorrow starts a very busy week at Oberon. Next week OHS is sponsoring Spirit Week to help our school gear up for the big Student vs. Teacher Basketball game on Friday. Tomorrow is Pajama Day (please no slippers). Tuesday is Tacky Tourist Day. Wednesday is Hippie Day. Thursday is Colorado Day, and Friday is Generation's Day (7th graders dress like babies; 8th graders dress like the elderly; adults dress like teenagers).
  • All students are welcome to participate in the Student vs. Staff Basketball game on Friday, November 18th. Interested students can sign up during lunch time starting on Wednesday. The 7th grade game will begin at 12:40 and the 8th grade game will begin at 1:30. The teachers and staff are hoping to keep their title as champions, but I have no doubts the students will give us some good competition.
  • Friday, November 18th is Oberon Night at Skate City from 6-10pm. Your $5 admission includes skate rental, a slice of pizza and a drink. Say you are from Oberon and $1.50 comes back to our school!
  • There is no school next week from November 21st- November 25th. Both students and staff return to school on Monday, November 28th.

Thank you! Here's to another great week at Oberon!
