Clubs and Activities

Oberon Clubs and Activities 2016-2017


Anime Club- Join Mrs. Bruemmer for an afternoon of drawing, researching, discussing, and learning about Anime art and graphic novels. This club meets every Tuesday from 2:20-3:00pm in E3

Art Club- Join Mrs. Kelly for an afternoon of creative fun. Anyone can join Art Club where we'll be exploring drawing, crafting, and design. It is Mondays from 2:30-3:15pm in A2.

Fandom Club- Join Mrs. Bruemmer for an afternoon of reading books, watching shows, writing fan fiction, drawing fan art and socializing with fellow fans. We will meet weekly, every Monday from 2:20-3:00pm in E3.

Girls' Basketball Club- All 7th and 8th grade girls are welcome. Join Ms. Gerber to practice different basketball skill sets and have fun! A great place to go if you love basketball but are not on an official team. We will meet 2:20-3:15pm every Thursday in the Small Gym.

G2 Coding Club- Students who are interested in coding to create apps, games, programs, and robotics. Join Mr. Waalkes and Ms. Ertelt for coding club every Tuesday during lunch hour.

OHS Oberon Honor Society will meet monthly and, at times, weekly on Tuesdays from 2:20-3:00.  OHS is sponsored by Ms. Ryer.  Twenty five dollar fee to participate and students will be required to complete 40 hours of community service by mid April.  See teachers for additional information.

Remote Control Club- Bring your remote control "thingies" and join Mr. Waalkes and your friends to play every Thursday from 2:20-3:00pm in TA-1.

TEDEd Club- If you are passionate about something and want to share with others, if you want to help others learn about your ideas, if you are interested on video creation, this is the club for you. Join Ms. Ertelt in the Libratory Mondays during lunch.

Wyld Life Organization - Come join Mr. Ruppert and Wyld Life Organization Volunteers.This club will be a place where students can have fun, strengthen school community, build friendships and complete school work.  There is volleyball, soccer, b-ball, and weight lifting.  While participating in this club, all school rules, including dress code apply.  It is Thursday, and Friday from 2:20 until 3:15.  There is no cost to students.  Get your permission slips from Mr. Ruppert in the Counseling Center.
