Oberon Clubs and Activities 2015-2016
Games Club – Do you enjoy playing games? Would you like to join your Oberon friends and play to your heart’s content? Come to the Mrs. Mayer's room (S-6) on Thursdays from 2:25-3:00. Please see Mrs. Mayer, club sponsor, for a permission slip. No cost for students. This club starts Sept. 10th.
NJHS – National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) will meet monthly and, at times, weekly on Tuesdays from 2:20-3:00. NJHS is sponsored by Ms. Ryer, Ms. Cavaleri, Ms. Watts, Mr. Ruppert, Mr. Stambaugh, and Ms. Kelly. Twenty five dollar fee to participate and students will be required to complete 40 hours of community service by mid April. See teachers for additional information.
Poetry Club- Calling all poets! Join Mrs. Quinn and your fellow poets Monday afternoon from 2:20-3:00pm in E4. Everyone is welcome.
Weightlifting – Come join Mrs. Yacobucci/Dan Bauer, club sponsors, and other Oberon students to learn the proper and safe way to lift weights, work out and be healthy. This club is free of charge and will meet on Fridays from 2:30-3:00 in the weight room (C-6). You have to be at least 12 years of age, have had a fitness class or trained by teacher on how to lift weights. If you do not, you will be trained on the first day.
Wyld Life Organization - Come join Mr. Ruppert and Wyld Life Organization Volunteers.This club will be a place where students can have fun, strengthen school community, build friendships and complete school work. There is volleyball, soccer, b-ball, weight lifting, board games and study hall. Snacks will be offered. While participating in this club, all school rules, including dress code apply. It is Wednesday,Thursday, and Friday from 2:20 until 3:15. There is no cost to students. Get your permission slips from Mr. Ruppert in the Counseling Center.
