Jeffco Public Schools Facilities Master Plan 2016: Come learn about the Jeffco Public Schools Facilities Master Plan (FMP)! Our goal is to provide the best learning environment for our students and the best teaching environment for our staff. This plan aims to maximize utilization of existing facilities, expand on efficient use of available resources, and provide a modern learning environment while recognizing the individuality and interdependence of our schools.
The average age of Jeffco Public Schools facilities is over 40-years-old. Many of the buildings do not meet current needs and are in need of repair. Our population has shifted and changed, demands on facilities now include advanced technology, preschool, before/after school programs, a wide arrange of sports activities, accessibility for the disabled, and have to support a variety of state and federal programs. The draft FMP addresses our district's needs and plans for the future.
Please join us to learn about the plan and share your input. Participate in one of the twelve presentations held throughout the district, visit the district website, or tune-in to one of the two telephone town halls (details coming soon) to learn the details of the plan and share your thoughts. Please note, presentations will cover the district-wide plan, but there will be a focus on the changes proposed for the area in which the meeting is held.
Find more information about the draft Facilities Master Plan now on BoardDocs (District-Wide Facilities Master Plan). Additional information will be available on the district website at www.jeffcopublicschools.org/FMP beginning Friday, April 22, following the Board of Education meeting on April 21. Please see the times/dates/locations of meetings Public Presentations Information.
Flyers with details about the public meetings are attached at the bottom of this page in both English and Spanish.
