Website evaluation rubric

A great way to do research, with good reliable sources, is to use the research databases from the Jefferson County Public Library. All you need is a library card (it's free, see Mrs. Pengelly or visit the public library to get one if you don't have one already).

Your final product is only as good as the sources you use to find your information!

Use this rubric to evaluate a website BEFORE you start taking notes or writing down any information! Make sure you have a good, reliable source. Look for a score of at least 6 points. Remember, no source is good enough all by itself - you should have
at least 3 sources (websites, databases, books, encyclopedias) for any project or paper.
