This year is my 18th year teaching in Jefferson County and I am so glad to be at Falcon Bluffs Middle School for my 13th year.  I taught special education for 5 years at Molholm Elementary before coming to Falcon Bluffs.  This will be my fourth year in general education teaching math.  I always loved math as a student and look forward to sharing my passion with all of you as we learn from each other this year.
My Bio:  I am a native Coloradoan and grew up in this area.  I went to Colorow, opened Stony Creek as a 3rd grader, attended Deer Creek and graduated from Chatfield.  I really love being a part of this community and I am very proud to be a teacher here at Falcon Bluffs.  I have a bachelor's degree in philosophy and a masters in special education. I also have endorsements in secondary mathematics and English language arts.  Skiing is my all-time favorite activity outside of school.  I also enjoy hiking, biking, rock climbing, reading, watching the Colorado Avalanche and Denver Broncos, and listening to music.  I have made it to the top of 12 of Colorado's 14ers and have started working on the world's Seven Summits.  I made it to the top of Kilimanjaro (19,341 ft.) in Tanzania in 2011, and was able to summit Mt. Elbrus (18,510 ft.) in Russia this past summer. I am not sure if I will conquer Aconcagua or Denali next, but either will require an intense training regimen as they are both a greater challenge than I have ever faced.
