Intermediate Ceramics

Intermediate Ceramics Course Description:

Ceramics/Pottery Intermediate will allow students who completed Beginning Ceramics/Pottery with a 'C' or better to expand their 3-Dimensional skills. Students will explore new mediums and techniques while focusing on observation and composition elements. Contemporary trends in art will be integrated within this course to enrich student knowledge and awareness.

Ceramics--> Intermediate Ceramics--> Art Portfolio (Advanced Ceramics, as many times as you want!) --> AP3D

SPRING BREAK HOMEWORK!

TEAPOT Set with 2 Cups

  1. Go to ARTAXIS.ORG
  2. Find 3-5 artist’s work that you find interesting
  3. Sketch notes of the work!- what do you like about it, how would you incorporate an idea from this piece? Etc…

NEXT…

  1. Sketch out 3 different set ideas
  2. What are you inspired by for each set?
  3. Incorporate APPROXIMATE measurements for each piece
  4. Write a brief description of what you’ll create
  5. STAR your favorite sketch/plans
