Welcome from Ms. Agard

Hello Families,

I am equally thrilled and humbled to be a Kyffin Cougar once again!  During Spring 2016, I student taught in Mrs. Erin Sinco's 3rd grade classroom and know what a welcoming and collaborative community Kyffin is.  I look forward to working with everyone in our community to facilitate students' academic, social, and emotional growth.

With 4th grade being the big step between primary and intermediate grades, a large goal of mine is to give students strategies be motivated learners who hold themselves to a quality level of work and action. I hope to provide opportunities for each individual student, and our whole class community, to strengthen academically and personally.

On a personal note, I graduated from UNC Greeley in 2016 with an Elementary Teaching degree and mathematics minor.  I was fortunate to study abroad in Ireland for a semester and Mexico for a summer before student teaching. This prior school year I taught 6th grade at Dutch Creek Elementary, a Jeffco school in Littleton.  In addition to teaching, I work witand teach Pre-K-6th grade children's programs at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science.

I cannot wait to get to know more about your student as the school year progresses; I am always up for talking all things Colorado, sports, and travel! Feel free to reach out to me with questions and/or concerns throughout the year.
