Coding is a Superpower!

The 'Hour of Code™' is a nationwide initiative by Computer Science Education Week and Code.org to introduce millions of students to one hour of computer science and computer programming. Powderhorn is excited to be participating and encouraging all of our students to enhance their critically thinking and problem solving skills as they, along with over 15 million other students around the world, code.
All first thru sixth graders, at Powderhorn, have an individualized account setup within code.org and are encouraged to practice and develop their coding skills. Due to the abundance of other users all utilizing the same website, the site is not able to save individual progress during the Computer Science Education Week (12/4/17-12/11/17). However, the practice options below allow our young programmers time to spark an increased interest in computer programming and time to continue to build their skills.
