About Me:
Dear Mortensen Families,  I am happy to be part of this wonderful Mortensen School Community.  This is the third school year that I have been working at Mortensen Elementary as a School Psychologist.  My primary responsibility is to provide school mental health and social emotional/behavior support to the students attending our ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) Center Program here at Mortensen. I am also one of the staff members who coordinates the Mortensen Peer Mentor program.  It is a delight to work with these wonderful student leaders.  I am also available, along with Pauline Sweeney (School Social Worker), to support all Mortensen students, staff and families as needs arise during the school year.
I have been living in Colorado with my family for more than 25 years.  I have  been working in Jefferson County School District as a School Psychologist for 25 years. I am currently assigned to support two schools as the School Psychologist:  Mortensen Elementary School and Stony Creek Elementary School.  I truly enjoy my work as a School Psychologist since it gives me the opportunity to work together with students, families and school staff to support the learning and social emotional well-being of our students.  In my free time, I love spending time with my family and I enjoy a variety of outdoor activities.  I look forward to partnering with you this 2015-16 school year!
