Lasley Elementary Vision/Mission Statement:

We welcome you as a partner in the Lasley community as we encourage our students to be life-long learners.
The staff at Lasley Elementary is committed to providing a quality education that prepares all children for a successful future. Our highly qualified educators ensure that all students are held to high expectations and have opportunities to increase their knowledge and skills.
We believe...
  • that parents are a child's first and foremost teacher; therefore, the partnership between the school and home is essential. By working together, we can provide the greatest possible education for a child.
We believe...
  • all students can learn; however, they learn at different rates and in different ways.
  • children need to feel safe, accepted, respected and successful.
  • children need to be encouraged to take risks, learn from mistakes, and develop coping skills.
  • children need to become self-directed and self-motivated.
  • children need to develop into healthy individuals: physically, emotionally, intellectually, and spiritually.
  • knowledge about and experiences in the arts are essential to a well-developed and well-educated individual.
  • good health is important to education and education is important for good health.
  • adults need to set clear expectations of children and encourage them to dream and set high goals.

We believe...

  • that to achieve our goals, the staff must be united in purpose and clearly focused. To that end, we commit our time, energy and talents.

New Medication Guidelines

The process for administering medication (prescription and non-prescription) to students has been updated. Parents must provide a medication order signed by their healthcare provider if their student has a condition that will require administration of any medication (prescription or non-prescription including Tylenol). Parents are asked to provide medication along with the appropriately signed medication form which can be readily accessed on our Health Services website at http://www.jeffcopublicschools.org/health/medication.html Once received, a nurse may delegate administration of either a prescription or over-the-counter medication, based on the healthcare provider’s order.

Please contact your school’s clinic aide or the Health Services Department at 303-982-7251 should you have any questions.

Thank you.

Where is Lasley Elementary?

From the Principal

Dear Lasley Families,

Welcome to Lasley Elementary School - Home of the Lions!

To experience Lasley is to experience an active student body, an experienced teaching staff and a vibrant school community.  Our students follow the principles of P.R.I.D.E. (Personal Responsibility, Integrity, Determination, and Excellence!)

As a neighborhood suburban elementary school, we celebrate our diversity and are committed to excellence and equity. Our successful educators, who consistently realize the value and potential that is inherent in each student, demonstrate understanding, respect, and appreciation for students’ cultures and life experiences through their lessons, attitudes, and daily interactions. Finally, we pledge that:

·         A student who has completed 7 years with us will have received a World-Class Education.

·         Parents feel welcomed and comfortable visiting and volunteering in “their” school.

·         Equity for all people permeates the culture.

·         Our mission and vision are followed and adhered to.

·         Lasley Pride will always be our guide.

Please stop by and say hi! I would love to visit with you!
