Mrs. Sweney knows there is no better place to teach and learn than D'Evelyn and can't wait to share her passion for literature with her students! She received her bachelor's degree from Ohio University and later earned her master's degree from Colorado College.

She is in her 18th year of teaching both high school and middle school English at various schools in Colorado. Because her ultimate goal is to inspire lifelong reading, teaching 8th and 9th graders is where she has spent the majority of her career. 

Originally from Columbus, Ohio, Mrs. Sweney moved to Colorado because she fell in love with the mountains and the outdoors. In her free time, she enjoys spending time outside with her family.
