Enrollment for our Summer Credit Recovery program has been closed for 2017.  If you are interested in Credit Recovery during the Fall semester of the 2017-2018 school year, the application will open on August 1, 2017. 

2017 Jeffco Virtual Academy Summer School

This is a fully online summer school program for Jeffco Students. 
Students will be working online at a location of their choice. See below for details. 

  •  Online Registration is available May 1st - ­ May 31st at www.jeffcovirtual.org in Summer School
  •  A maximum of 2 courses can be taken.  
  •  Friday June 2nd: Mandatory Introduction to Online unit and diagnostic testing at 
     Jeffco Virtual Academy:  11025 W. Glennon Drive, Lakewood, CO 80226
     Failure to attend diagnostic testing will result in withdrawal from JVA Summer School
  •  School starts Monday, June 5th and goes through Friday, July 14.
  •  Courses offered for credit recovery only, credit advancement is not available. 
  •  Students  need  to  meet  with  their  counselor  to  determine  which  courses  to  apply  for  and  ask  them  to 
    complete the  counselor verification form.  
  •  $155 per 1⁄2 credit, no refunds are available. Credit card, or exact cash amount will be accepted. You can also pay on Jeffco  Connect . Give us a call to pay over the phone at 303-982-6770 Opt 3.
  •  Payment may be made over the phone at 303­-982­-6770 or online in Jeffco Connect beginning May 1st. 
  •  Students will complete coursework using Schoology and Edgenuity. 
  •  Students  will  be  required  to  use  their  Jeffco  Gmail  address  for  communication  with  instructors  and 
  •  Courses are self­paced and students may complete the course any time up until Friday July 14th. 
  •  Courses  offered: Algebra  I, Algebra  II,  Geometry, Pre-Calc/Trig, Earth Science, Biology,  Chemistry, Physics,  US  Government, 
    World  Geography, Modern  US  History, World  History, Economics, English  9, English  10, English  11, English  12, 
    PE, Career  Exploration, Intro to Foods/Nutrition. 

Student must attend the course orientation at the scheduled time on June 2.

Friday, June 2nd: 9th through 12th Grade                                 
8AM­ -12PM                                                                                 

 Introduction to Online Learning and Diagnostic Testing

  •  Students will be required to take diagnostic tests for each summer school course.  
  •  If students pass the diagnostic (pre­test) for any of the required units with a 75% or higher, they may be exempt 
    from the  material in those units which will allow them to move through the course material at a quicker pace.  
  •  If students do not complete the Introduction to Online Unit and diagnostic testing by June 3rd they will be withdrawn from  courses with no refund.  
Monday, June 5th: Teachers will contact students with a prescribed plan based on the diagnostic test results. Students should start working through the material in their courses. 
It is recommended to spend 3 to ­4 hours/day to successfully complete 1 summer school course.
Students must show weekly progress in courses or they will be withdrawn with no refund.
