Rush Cataloging

The forms on this site allow you to request "remote" cataloging services for rush items.  Jeffcat will use the information you provide to create a full record for your new item. We will catalog requests within 1 business day of receipt.

Once your title has been cataloged, you will need to check in the item to change its status from "In Transit" to "Available." You can then circulate the item.

Place a request
Under "Place Request" to the left:
  • Select the form that corresponds to the type of material you have:
    • books (including textbooks and teacher's guides, if treated as books)
    • media (DVDs, music/sound CDs, CD-ROMs, VHS tapes, books on tape/CD, etc.)
    • curriculum kits (all curriculum materials treated as kits)
  • Fill out the form. Notice that a number of fields are required - if you do not have information for those fields, put "no information" or "information not available" in the field.
  • Submit the form. Please include your full name and best way to contact you in case we have questions.
Track your requests
The information you submit is stored in a spreadsheet that is shared among the Jeffcat team. When we have completed the cataloging, we will put the date and our name in the spreadsheet.
