Inspired by his experiences with the McCarthy hearings in the 1950s, Arthur Miller's play, The Crucible, focuses on the inconsistencies of the Salem witch trials and the extreme behavior that can result from dark desires and hidden agendas. Based the on the historical account of the Salem witch trials, Miller masterfully creates a web of intrigue and manipulation that keeps the audience on the edge of their seat!
