About Me

A Wisconsin native, I moved to Steamboat Springs, Colorado almost 30 years ago and instantly fell in love with the Rocky Mountains. I started my degree in education at the University of Missouri-Columbia and finished at Adams State College in Alamosa, Colorado. I have also received a Master's degree in Education from Colorado Christian University. In the summer of 2008, I had the amazing opportunity to study Shakespeare and Victorian Literature at Oxford University. I have spent most of my teaching career teaching for Jeffco Public Schools teaching at both Bear Creek and Chatfield High School. Having spent two years teaching at Libertyville High School in Northern Illinois, I was happy to come back home and work in the Jeffco School District once again. I spent two years at Dakota Ridge High School, but came back home to Chatfield in 2017. My husband, Rick, and I enjoy spending time skiing, hiking, playing and watching sports, and going to movies. Both professionally and personally, I can honestly say that I am living the dream.
