Intervention Team

We provide an inclusive model where the special education students attend regular education classes and intervention classes on an as-needed basis determined by IEP goals and objectives, TCAP scores, current performance in classes, and individual need.  Students are strategically grouped and either the learning specialist or a paraprofessional is scheduled to be in the classes which require extra support.  This approach reaches not only the special education students, but the entire classroom.  It allows for an increased ability to break into smaller groups supported by an adult, and allows for a way to help students who may be nearing the 2nd Tier in the RtI model which calls for extra intervention support.
