About Us
Mission:   Pioneering the way toward balanced, healthy lifestyles and a quality learning environment by giving students a voice in health and bringing district-wide awareness and education around physical and mental well-being.

SHAC is a group of high school youth from across Jefferson County who work to impact wellness in Jeffco Schools. 

Goals: 
1) Give Students a voice in health
2) Educate students and adults, and spread the word about school health
3) Create peer-to-peer education tools in areas of school health

    • All members go through an application and interview process in the beginning of each school year. 
    • New members are then invited to attend starting in October.

    SHAC wins Colorado Innovation Competition!

    SHAC's idea: an app to get youth outdoors won the 2016 Colorado Innovation compitition!  Over 70 entries went through a public voting process, with the finalists chosen after answering pannelest questions and a live audience vote.  SHAC won the youth grand prize!
