Carmody Physical Education 1st semester at a glance

Physical Education


The focus of Physical Education class at Carmody is two-fold. First, students are encouraged to make fitness a lifetime activity. The second goal starts by providing a safe and comfortable environment for students to grow personal skills, and set goals.  Enthusiasm and respect for peers is also integral to fostering an enjoyable environment.   Physical education provides the opportunity to teach students about movement, strategies, teamwork, problem solving and health related fitness. Each of these areas is addressed in the National Association for Sport and Physical Education’s (NASPE) standards and is important to teaching the whole student. Carmody is committed to, and supports the development of a positive and appropriate physical education experience
