Purpose of our Chapter

  • Inspire and recognize those students who have shown outstanding ability in art;

  • Foster excellence and a dedicated spirit to the pursuit of art;

  • Further creative abilities and talents of the Society’s members, as well as the school’s entire student art enrollment;

  • Aid members in working toward the attainment of their highest potential in an art area;

  • Bring art to the attention of the school and community;

  • Increase an awareness of art in relation to other areas of the school curriculum; and Further aesthetic awareness in all aspects of the school’s total program.

Students wishing to be officers for the 2018-2019 school year need to have turned in their Officer Application by Thursday morning at 9 am on May 17th. Frisbee will post officer positions by 1 pm on May 17th in Google Classroom!!!

You need to fill out an application and submit it. 
Those interested in being officers need to fill out a separate application.
The hours log is also posted there:)

To be a continuing member of the Art Club you will need to get 10 hours of service or creative work in a year.

To letter in National Art Honor Society, you will need 20 hours of service or creative work a year.

Seniors, may also just choose to get their Cords and Tassels instead of lettering, those students will need to do 15 hours in a year.

Our first meeting will be September 11, 2018 in E117 right after school!

We will set up an itinerary for the year on that day.

Applications and 15$ worth of dues deadline is October 9, 2018.

Hours are due March 12, 2019.

Possible Art Club/ National Art Honor Society Activities include:

Create a professional art website including: = 15 hours

Students may use Weebly, Squarespace, Wordpress, Google, or any user friendly service. As you are a student at GMSH, please do not include your personal information, photo, phone number and address.

  • At least 20 pieces that are uploaded, videography students should just upload what you have:)

  • I will be happy to be the link that people can contact to purchase your art

    • Why and how do you make the work you do.

Contact members of the community to do community service with them

You could do all twenty hours of service volunteering in our community. Make sure you make a form with hours that they can sign off on!!!!
