Math Placement Information

At Evergreen Middle School, one of our goals is correct placement of students in math.  We are offering three dates for your Choice Enrolled student to be placed properly for next fall, and to have his or her scheduling information as accurate as possible. If your student is currently at one of our traditional feeder elementary schools (Bergen, Wilmot or Parmalee) they will be tested there. If your student attends any other elementary or middle school at this time, regardless of physical residence and regular attendance area school, your student will need to come to EMS for the testing.

The math test is approximately one hour long, but the students may have up to 75 minutes to complete this test. We have scheduled an hour and a half time period for your student to arrive, check in, and complete the math test.  Students only need to attend ONE test day. The three available dates will be late April and early May, TBD.

It is important your student is tested so please make every effort to attend one of these dates. If there is no way your student can make either date, please contact me as well so that I know you received this letter.

Your student will need to bring something to write with (wooden or mechanical pencil), scratch paper, and something to do when they complete the test in case they are done early. No calculators will be needed. They may have a cell phone in their possession to reach you, but will be asked to turn it off during the testing.
