Trimester 2 Final Report Cards are now available in the Parent Campus Portal!
As you know, the time is now for son or daughter to take the annual state assessment. TCAP will be given over the course of two weeks beginning March 4 and continuing through March 12. The actual testing days for all students will be March 4, 5, 6, 11, (two testing sessions each day) and 12 (one testing session), 2014.
Your help is crucial in making this a successful experience for your child.
1. Help your child get a good night’s rest
2. Make sure he or she eats a healthy breakfast
3. Schedule, or reschedule, doctor’s appointments for a different day
4. Make sure your child arrives at school on time
5. Encourage your child to do his or her best work possible
6. Try to avoid absences on these days
7. Show your child you believe that their success is important
8. Help your child to be relaxed
Our students have been working hard this year and we are looking forward to their success on the 2014 TCAP! We are all anxious to see the results, which will be available in the fall. Thank you for your support during this time.
Participate in the District Budget Process
Jeffco Public Schools has a long history of gathering community input about funding priorities. As the Board of Education begins the budgeting process for the 2014-15 school year, this tradition will continue. Parents, students, community members and district staff are being asked to read a letter to stakeholders, which describes the board’s goals, and then provide feedback about the budget by completing an online survey. The board will also be hosting a series of community meetings to gain more public participation in the budget process.
The 2014-15 school year budget must be finalized by June 2014.
