Google Takeout (extract your jeffco files)

When you leave Jeffco Schools (such as graduation), you need to plan for the fact you will lose access to your Jeffco tools, such as Google Drive (and email).  
You have a couple of options:
  • If you just need a few files, share those documents with a personal google account, and THEN MAKE A COPY in your personal google account, so you have a brand new copy of the document that is not connected to your Jeffco account.
  • If you want to save all of your files, there is a tool called "Google Takeout."  This extracts all of the files in your Jeffco Google Drive into a "Zip" file that can go on the hard drive of a computer, a flash drive, or an external drive.  After you extract this .zip file, you could then upload all of those files into a personal google account.
