Born and raised in Houston, Texas, I received both my Bachelors and Masters degrees from Texas A&M University. I've taught math for 36 years, 16 of which have been at international schools in South America. When I first moved to Caracas, Venezuela, little did I know I'd meet my future husband there - a native of Colorado! We moved to Rio de Janeiro, had 2 kids, and fell in love with the beauty of Brazil, living there for 12 years.
I love to cook, camp, hike, spend time with my family, live concerts and listening to Sirius XM comedy stations. I believe that what you focus on grows stronger, that there's nothing like laughing so hard you cry, that cilantro should be it's own food group and that weak coffee is a crime!
