Social Worker Bio

Sunset in New Zealand

Hello everyone!  My name is Diana Rarich, and I have been been a social worker in Jeffco Schools since 2003 in both high schools and district-wide. Before coming to school social work I worked for human services, a residential treatment center, and foster care agencies. I have both a bachelors and masters in Social Work, and am a Licensed Clinical Social worker.  My Bachelors degree is from Skidmore College and Masters is from DU.   I am grateful to be a part of the SLHS team and serve our Gator students and families.   I love to travel, and have been to 37 countries on service trips, to visit friends, and to explore the world.  Please come check out some of the artifacts and pictures in my office, anytime!

I also enjoy being outside on my bike, hiking, or playing with my niece and nephews.  I am from the east coast (MA), but got here as soon as I could!  I enjoy playing guitar, piano, and singing, good movies, a game night with friends and a great bowl of popcorn.  Really, I enjoy lots of cuisine, but am often quite content with a simple pleasure...  One a year, I also teach at the University of Denver in the Graduate school of Social Work in the School Social Work Methods class.

Feel free to browse my page for resources and information, and please call if there is a way I can support you or your student.  I work closely with administration, counseling, and the exceptional student services team to provide supports, interventions and services to all students for academic and social-emotional success.

I am the primary adult advisor for Sources of Strength at Standley Lake, and also support the gaming club and gay-straight alliance, as well as YoungLife outside of work hours.
