Support the Arts at D’Evelyn!

D'Evelyn Performing Arts is a support organization which functions under the umbrella of the D'Evelyn Education Foundation. DPA's purpose is to provide financial, volunteer, and moral support to our school's drams, vocal music, and instrumental music groups.

DPA does a lot—from providing band uniforms, choir robes and sheet music to supporting rehearsal dinners and cast parties ...
and there are lots of ways YOU can help!

  • PARTICIPATE
    Students
involved in the arts do better overall in school and on their SATs than those who are not involved, a Harvard researcher recently found. In fact, involvement in the arts is associated with gains in math, reading, cognitive ability, critical thinking, and verbal skills. Arts learning can also improve motivation, concentration, confidence, and teamwork.
  • ATTEND
More than half the D'Evelyn students participate in one or more of the performing arts, but even if your student is not a performer, everyone can be a fan!
  • VOLUNTEER
Parents involved in DPA have been proven to be happier, according to one independent research group. (If you don’t believe us, then try coming to one of our meetings! Where else can you rub elbows with some of your students’ favorite teachers and friends’ parents, plus help plan for fantastic dramatic and musical events throughout the year?)

  • FUNDRAISERS
We have an awesome auditorium and we have begun to install “updated” equipment to replace some that is 20 years old. When our students perform on that stage, they shine, and shine bright!

So, how does DPA plan on raising TENS of thousands of dollars for all these expenses? DPA has a few new fundraisers coming up this year.  They will be announced shortly, so stay tuned!
