DHS English 9: Literature & Composition

English/Language Arts 9 incorporates reading, writing, speaking, and listening. Study of genres leads to written compositions that build upon students’ prior knowledge of grammar, vocabulary, word usage, and mechanics. Students apply comprehension and critical reading skills to both literature and nonfiction.
