Registration Info

Welcome to the 2017-18 Dennison school year! We have moved to an Online Packet Pickup this year. Below is some information to help guide you through the process. If you have difficulty with any of the steps, please call the School Office (303.982.6382) and Julie or Heather will be able to assist you. Likewise, if you do not have computer or printing access available to you, you may come to Dennison and use the Computer Lab. The Computer Lab will be open for online packet pickup on Thursday, August 3 from 8:00 am - 11:30 am. Our Digital Teacher Librarian, Angel Gallegos-Jung, and Julie will be in the lab to assist you.

Step 1 - Emergency Information

Step 2 - Jeffco Connect
  • Jeffco Connect - Please be sure to update all information in Jeffco Connect for each student, including all emergency information. We need to have this information electronically as well as a the hard copy of the Student Emergency Card found in Step 1.
  • Pay your school fees, transportation fees (if student(s) ride the bus) and any OPT fees (if needed).
  • Lunch Fees - Transfer money into your students lunch account through MyPaymentsPlus or call the mealpay phone number at 1-866-609-0949.
  • If needed, apply for Free & Reduced Lunch. Pay particular attention to Step #7 of the application and select any and all programs you wish to share information with, this will also be the fees that can be waived. This needs to be completed every year.

Step 3 - Student Fees
  • Fee Sheet Letter - This letter provides a brief description for some of the fees you will find on your student(s) fee schedule.
  • All student fees can be paid online. There is no service fee charge for that convenience.
  • You can always pay fees with cash, check or credit card in the School Office. See Heather to assist you with payment.

Step 4 - Transportation
  • Bus Fees - All Dennison students have the OPT Bus fee charged to them. If your student(s) do not ride the bus, do not pay the fee. The Transportation Department will remove them later during the semester. For more information on transportation, click here.
  • Transportation Registration Form - Please print and complete this form if your student(s) will be using Jeffco Transportation.
  • Shuttle Riders - Do NOT pay any transportation fees at this time. Contact Sandy Gallegos at 303-982-2562 to adjust your bus fee. Once she has completed that, you can pay your bus fees.
  • Part-Time Riders - These are students who 1) ride only TO school, 2) ride only FROM school, 3) ride one-way 5 times or less per week. Please contact Sandy Gallegos at 303-982-2562 for more information and a reduced bus fee. Again, do not pay the OPT Transportation fee until the fee has been adjusted by the Transportation Department.
  • Bus Passes - Passes will be delivered to the school and we will deliver them to the students.
  • Bus Fee Deadlines - 1st Semester must be paid by August 31, 2016. 2nd Semester must be paid by January 25, 2017.

Step 5 - First Day of School
  • First Day Checklist - Review this document to be sure you and your student are prepared for the first days of school.
  • Parking Lot Protocol - Review this document to ensure your student drop off and pick up are safe and stress free. You can also download a copy of the Dennison Parking Lot map with directional arrows to help you navigate the parking lot easily. We will have staff on duty to assist you, as well.
  • School Supply Kit - If you pre-ordered a school supply kit through PTA, the kits will be delivered to your student(s) classroom. Otherwise you can find the school supply list here
  • Eagle Express Newsletter - The Eagle Express is Dennison's monthly newsletter. Delivery is always via email unless you notify us that you would prefer a hard copy. Please fill out this form to opt out of the email delivery.
  • Before / After School Childcare - The Denver YMCA offers before and after school childcare onsite at Dennison Elementary. If you are interested in that service for your student(s), you must register online. Click here for information to help you with the online registration process. Step 6 - Final Summary
Please be sure to fill out and return all forms. For your convenience, they are listed below. You will need to print them out and return them to the school office no later than Wednesday, August 31, 2016.
