The State of Colorado passed a law in 2003 requiring public schools to provide parents and guardians with a statement about how they can access information regarding registered sex offenders in their law enforcement jurisdiction.

Bring Your Own Device

Jeffco Public Schools is committed to helping students learn the skills they need to succeed in a world filled with technology. To make this happen, the district has built a new robust and secure Jeffco Instructional Network. The network will make access to the Internet possible for students and staff who want to use their own personal devices (laptops, netbooks, tablets, smartphone) during the school day for classroom activities. Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) will foster student ownership of their own learning, extend learning for students from home to classroom, provide easier access to online instructional material and supplement school equipment.

School Lunch Program Information

Times have changed. Menus have changed. Many of us have vivid memories of some of the “stuff” that was served on our plates in school, especially vegetables! Section 504 Parent Guide

Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 is Congress’s directive to schools receiving any federal funding to eliminate discrimination based on disability from all aspects of school operation. Jeffco Public Schools is committed to providing a working and learning environment that is free from sexual harassment, and it is the policy of the district that sexual harassment will not be tolerated. Snow Closure Procedures

When there is inclement weather, the district makes every effort to decide and announce decisions to close schools before 6 a.m. Once a decision is made, a message will be sent to Jeffco families via phone, email and text message. Parent contact information should be kept up-to-date through Jeffco Connect. Log on now, to make sure your information is correct. The local media will also be notified and social media updated. The district’s telephone hotline at 303-982-6600, and the school system website will also contain the latest information. School websites should be viewed throughout the day for changes to school-specific events.

Parent Information Regarding Pertussis

Important Information for Free and Reduced Price Meals:

Every school year a new application is required, for all students, for the Free and Reduced Price Meal Program.  Please use a current 2012-2013 meal application and fill out in black or blue ink. 


a)       If your child(ren) were on the Free and Reduced Meal Program on the last day of the 2012-2013 school year, that status (free or reduced) will be carried over until a new application is processed, or  30 days after school begins. Please reapply early to insure your child will not be dropped from the program. Go to applyforlunch.com to complete your application.


b)       School Based fees may be waived if you complete and sign the INFORMATION RELEASE SECTION on the application.


c)       Students pre-approved through the Food Stamp Direct Certification process will receive a Direct Cert approval letter & Direct Certification Information Release form in the mail prior to the start of school.  You may return the completed & signed Information Release Form for Students Approved through Direct Certification for school based fees to be waived.  Direct Certification approval is done by student, not by family.  PLEASE check to make sure you have received a letter of approval for each child in your family.  If you have not, please call the food service office, 303-982-6916.
