I was born in Denver and went to Bear Creek High School, where I struggled mightily to hide the fact I loved math. I went to Kansas University for two years before finishing my Bachelor's in Math at CU. I later earned my Master's in Applied Statistics from UNC.
My wife Camille, currently a teacher - librarian at Bear Creek K8, mercifully agreed to marry me in 1997. We have two daughters: Emma, who graduated from D'Evelyn in 2019 and is now at Washington University; and Harper, who is a senior Jaguar this year.
I have taught at D'Evelyn for 21 years and still love my job, my students, and my subject (especially Calculus!)
