Hi and welcome to Alameda International Jr./Sr. High School!
Our names are Karla Kottom and Julie Arguello, we are the Family Liaison at Alameda International Jr/Sr High School. As a family liaison we are here to support you connect with the school, get involved in your student’s education and to develop a sense of school community. We really believe in improved academic results due to parent participation. Research shows that when parents are actively involved with their children’s education, student achievement increases. In order to achieve our student’s success, we use the Six Title I National Standards for Family-School Partnerships.

Some of the things we are available to support with
are:
Connecting families with community resources such as ESL classes, food banks, clothing banks. We can also connect you to our CFC who can assist you with Medicaid, CHP+, Food stamps, TANF and Housing.
Supporting parents navigate through The Jeffco System so they can be up to date with their students progress and Free/Reduced lunch applications.
We will be hosting the Family Engagement Meetings where we will provide workshops to help parents acquire tools and knowledge to better assist their student in their academic success etc
