About Mrs. Trout

"Be somebody who makes everyone feel like a somebody."-Kid President
A Little About My Background:

I was born and raised in Colorado, right here in Littleton. Teaching has always been a passion of mine ever since I got a mini chalkboard for Christmas with my sister being the only "real" student in my class. I attended Metropolitan State University of Denver where I received my B.A. in Human Development with a minor in Elementary Education. I am currently attending University of Colorado Denver in hopes of receiving my M.A. in Information and Learning Technology in 2019. This will be my second year at Peiffer Elementary and I can't wait to share this school year with you!
What to Expect in My Classroom:

In my classroom you can expect students to be collaborating, engaged in the learning, and technology in hand. Technology can open doors for students and I am a true believer in how much technology can help reluctant learners open up and take learning deeper. I really focus on the whole child to help them truly succeed in and out of the classroom. By being kind to one another and helping each other we will be bucket fillers. We will discover Project Based Learning throughout the year to help bring real world scenarios into our classroom. I truly value students' voices and want to make sure that they feel safe and important while at school. Teaching is my passion and through that passion, I hope to inspire your child beyond the year they are in my classroom.
Email is the best way to get in touch with me. I generally check my email before and after school as well as during my planning period. I will respond to your emails within a 24 hour period. Please let me know if there are any problems with this and I will work with you. I want to work alongside you as we navigate through this year. My door is always open!
