What's happening in PE:
5th-6th grade: Offensive and Defensive strategy
3rd-4th grade: Components of Fitness
K-2nd: Body Awareness & Locomotor Skills

My name is Mr. Benefield, most of the students at Betty Adams call me Mr. B. I have been teaching PE at Betty Adams Elementary for the last 11 years and I love everything about movement and physical activity. I received my bachelors from Metro State in Physical Education and received my Masters from the University of Phoenix in Technology Education.  I am always looking for ways to incorporate technology into Physical Education.

I enjoy camping, riding bikes, working out and swimming with my family.  When camping I love taking hikes, fishing, and getting a chance to cook something over the fire.  Cooking is one of my hobbies along with working on cars and playing games with my kids.  I have a son and a daughter, who I love spending time with when ever I can. I grew up in Arvada, attending Standley Lake high school. Swimming was my main sport, but I also ran cross country and played football.

In PE, I teach the students to be physically active and to enjoy participating with others in the various physical activities inside and outside of the gym.

All physical education classes are based on the Jefferson County School curriculum for Kindergarten through 6th grade students.  Students will be led through physcial activities allowing for maximum participation and FUN while keying on important physical movements.
