Welcome to 6th Grade!!!
#6thbluegoals: In sixth grade, we work as a team and are in charge of our own learning. We strive to challenge ourselves and consider the real world around us by questioning, analyzing, celebrating diversity, collaborating and investing in our own learning. Our growth mindset and application of 21st-century skills inspire us to see beyond what we thought we could do. As a team we support each other, are kind to everyone, and we have fun while we learn!

Meet Your Teachers
Ms. Pennington: Welcome to sixth grade! I'm so excited to begin a new year and get to know all of our new students in Reading and Writing.

I am from Colorado and attended Jeffco schools K-12 and graduated from Ralston Valley. I attended Metro State College (now University!) in Denver to obtain my degree in English with a concentration in Secondary Education. This is my seventh year teaching and fourth year at Bell. Outside of school, I love reading for fun, going to the mountains to hike and fish, spending time with my family and friends, and cheering on the Broncos! My fiancé and I have two kitties and a puppy, and are in the process of planning a wedding! I love teaching Language Arts at the middle school level and enjoy bringing student interest and choice into our classroom; my expectations are high and I love seeing students achieve beyond what they thought they could do.

Ms. Ingro: I am so excited to be teaching 6th grade again this year, and I look forward to working with all of our students! This will be my 10th year teaching and my 4th year at Bell. I grew up in Western NY near Lake Ontario and Niagara Falls.  I went to college at SUNY Buffalo State and obtained my BS in Secondary English Education and then immediately moved to CO- where I’ve been ever since and absolutely love it! I attended CU Boulder and received my MA in Literacy K-12. My

husband and I have two daughters, a Golden Retriever, and two kitties. I enjoy cycling, hiking, reading, music, working w/students, real estate, travel, house projects, camping... I look forward to a fun year watching students gain new independence and empowering them to reach their full potential...and then some! GO 6th graders!!!

Mr. Burdick: Welcome to the new school year and welcome to sixth grade!  I am so excited for you as you start your middle school career and I am so excited to teach you.
I am from Colorado.  I attended West Jeff Middle School then Conifer High School.  After High School I went on to attend The University of Colorado at Boulder... Go CU!  I received my BA in Psychology.  After a few years working odd jobs I went back to school to get another degree and my teaching license.  I went to Metropolitan State University of Denver, I got another BA in History and my teaching license.

I love sports, I played soccer, golf,  baseball and basketball my whole life, however I played soccer the longest and I am a huge soccer enthusiast.  I love being outdoors, I enjoy hiking, snowboarding, swimming, white water rafting and much more.  I am a huge music and film fan as well.  I have a wonderful 10 year old
Golden Retriever named Bowie.  I also have a fantastic Niece named Skylla and a Nephew named Carsyn who I love very much and they mean the world to me.
Mrs. Lee:
There is not a doubt in my mind, 6th grade is my favorite grade to teach! This is my 9th year in JeffCo, but this is my first year as a middle school teacher. I have spent the last 8 years teaching at Shelton Elementary and the last 5 of those years were spent teaching 6th graders. I love this age group!

I attended Colorado Christian University for my bachelors and have a masters in Linguistically Diverse Education from Regis University. I am a Wyoming native, but have spent more than half my life here in Colorado. I love it here! I am married and have two dogs, a Boston Terrier named Bee and a new rescue puppy named Ara. I enjoy playing in the outdoors and my hobbies include whitewater rafting, hiking, mountain biking, fishing, and skiing.

But, of all the things I love to do, my true passion is teaching science and I cannot wait to share this with you!

Mrs. Andrea Smith
Welcome sixth graders!

My name is Mrs. Smith and I teach Math 6 and Math 6/7 .

I am a Jeffco grad - Go Lakewood Tigers - and a Colorado native. I graduated from the IB program, and went on to study at CU Boulder. There I earned my BA in English Literature, and my Elementary Education teaching license. I continued my education at the University of Northern Colorado and earned my MA in Middle Level Math Teaching.

I live with my husband Jason, my one-year-old daughter Lauren (we call her Lulu), and our two silly dogs Molly (a shepherd mix) and Maggie (a blue heeler).
