eyeJAZZ Training Program

What is eyeJAZZ?

The eyeJAZZ Training Program will run from March 17 through July 15, 2011;  all training will be conducted ONLINE by experienced videographers and journalists via webinars and video lessons. During the program, each trainee will produce at least five short videos that meet 

eyeJAZZ is a new genre of short, newsy jazz videos made with simple tools and distributed online 

The eyeJAZZ Training program will provide instruction in: 
  • Basic video production and editing techniques using pocket video cameras 
  • Journalistic standards and storytelling techniques
  • The use of online and social media to distribute and promote video productions
It will also encourage trainees to explore professional opportunities for using their new video skills.

 The thirty-three 2011 Trainees were chosen from a large group of applicants from all parts of the U.S., Canada and several other countries.  Applicants who were not selected as official trainees have been invited to participate in the series of online webinars that will form the core of the training. 

Recordings of the training webinars are  available online for all to view and study.
