The JACKSONVILLE SYMPHONY SOCIETY invites you and your students to the free Annual Youth Concert performed by the Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra to be held on Tuesday, March 24, 2015, in MacMurray College’s Annie Merner Chapel. The concert will begin on time and last approximately one hour.
The morning concert begins at 10:00 am, and the afternoon concert is at 12:30. Dr. Garrett Allman, Music Director and Conductor, has programmed the music to appeal to students in grades 3, 4, and 5. Through this concert we hope to expose young people to classical music and perhaps inspire some to study music or learn an instrument. Please limit attendance from your school to these grades. We also invite students from other grades who participate in band and orchestra.
There is no admission charge for the concert. You need only provide transportation. Buses may unload at the front of the chapel and park nearby. There will be volunteers on hand to assist with unloading and seating. Students may then be picked up after the concert again in front of the chapel.
Please register the number of seats you wish to reserve no later than Tuesday, March 10, 2015. Reservations will be given on a first come, first served basis. Reserve only the number of actual seats you will need. You may register in several ways:
