Personal Finance

Course Description:

Personal Finance deals with skills that are needed to survive and the key to one's future financial success.  Students will become more efficient in managing personal and financial affairs.  The course teaches soon to be independent students how to make it on their own in such areas as economic decision-making, budgeting, banking services, insurance and credit.  Students will learn how choice influences occupational options and future earning potential.  Students also learn to apply decision making skills to evaluate career choices and set personal goals.  This course is a high school graduation requirement in the state of Missouri.  Emphasis is placed in the following course parts:  Income, Money Management, Spending and Credit, Savings and Investments.
