FBLA

FBLA stands for Future Business Leaders of America and is an outstanding group to become a part of as each person in their future likely works in or for some type of business and this organization can help you with leadership, volunteer and even academic contests that will look amazing on your high school resume.  The theme this year is CREATE, LEAD, INSPIRE!  Stop by the business room and talk with Mrs. Smith about joining FBLA.  The dues are $20 and that makes you a member at the local District 6 level, the state level as well as the national group of FBLA members.

Goals
  • Develop competent, aggressive business leadership.
  • Strengthen the confidence of students in themselves and their work.
  • Create more interest in and understanding of American business enterprise.
  • Encourage members in the development of individual projects that contribute to the improvement of home, business, and community.
  • Develop character, prepare for useful citizenship, and foster patriotism.
  • Encourage and practice efficient money management.
  • Encourage scholarship and promote school loyalty.
  • Assist students in the establishment of occupational goals.
  • Facilitate the transition from school to work.
Shout out to last years Jamestown member Evan Croy who advanced all the way to Nationals in Business Law and competed in Baltimore, MD this past summer!  Way to go and represent your fellow Jamestown FBLA members as well as District 6 FBLA.
