Women's History Month

During the month of March join the celebration and commemoration of women’s contributions in the United States. The month has been declared National Women’s History Month by Congress since 1987 and each President since 1995.

The theme for 2019 is, "Visionary Women: Champions of Peace and Nonviolence," and it offers an opportunity to honor women who have advocated for an end to war, violence and injustices. We can celebrate and honor these efforts at home and in the classroom by writing to inspiring women, viewing speeches from Women’s Marches and discussing them, researching and presenting about powerful women in history.
