IT Services:

The following servers/services are scheduled for an extended Information Technology Services (ITS) maintenance window:

Moodle update

 

Impact:

Downtime should be less than 1-2 hours. Faculty should have access to Summer courses by 9:30 am.

Maintenance Planned:

The ITRC will be applying the latest security patches and updates to MoodleISU.

IT Services:

The following servers/services are scheduled for an extended Information Technology Services (ITS) maintenance window:

Implement an AWS patch

 

Impact:

Downtime should be less than 1-2 hours.

Maintenance Planned:

We will be restarting the database to implement an AWS patch and upgrading to the latest Moodle weekly build in preparation for the summer term.

 

Moodle Maintenance 7:30 am Thursday, May 11

The ITRC will be applying the latest security patches and updates to MoodleISU on Thursday (5/11) starting at 7:30 a.m.  This is expected to be less than two hours of downtime.  Moodle should be back up and available for faculty Summer course access by 9:30 a.m.  If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the ITRC.

In order to install new networking equipment, access to campus IT resources via the Internet and access to the Internet from campus will be unavailable for the first two hours of this maintenance   Intermittent outages will occur throughout the rest of the maintenance window. 

This maintenance does not impact internal campus networking (including wireless) and telephone services.

Replacement of network intrusion protection and border firewalls.

Impact:

A 2-hour complete Internet outage and then intermittent Internet outages throughout the maintenance.

Note: This maintenance does not impact internal campus networking.  It only impacts access to the Internet. (any connection to outside the University Campus)

IT Services:

The following servers/services are scheduled for Standard maintenance during the Information Technology Services (ITS) maintenance window:

Production Systems:
All ERP systems including Banner INB and SSB, Workflow, Degreeworks, and Travel and Expense

Impact:

Databases and Weblogic instances will be brought down as well as related production ERP systems. Bengalweb will be restarted at the end of the upgrade and outage of Bengalweb is only expected to be 10 minutes but INB and SSB will be unavailable for the duration of the upgrade. Expected Banner outage is 2-3 hours.

Maintenance Planned:

Install Financial Aid 8.29 critical patch (RFC 1371)

The following servers/services are scheduled for Standard maintenance during the Information Technology Services (ITS) maintenance window:

 Maintenance Planned:

1) ISE Security Hotfix
2) ESXi server updates including Meridian and Idaho Falls
3) Windows server patches and Linux server patches

Impact:

1) Rolling wireless network outages
2) Rolling outages for telephone services for Meridian and Idaho Falls ONLY (Inbound, outbound and inter- and intra-campus)
3) No impact is expected, servers are either redundant or internal use only
