Full Refund: A full refund of all registration fees paid will be granted, if requested in writing before 6 February 2024.
Partial Refund: A 75% refund of all registration fees paid will be granted, less a RM50 refund processing fee, if requested in writing after 6 February 2024 but before 20 February 2024.
No Refund: No refund will be granted for any cancellation request made after 20 February 2024.

Workshop Overview
Instructional coherence is a strategic factor in promoting equity in education. Core instruction is of utmost importance in building instructional coherence within a learning environment. It serves as the foundation upon all other instructional components are built, ensuring a consistent and cohesive approach to teaching and learning. Lesson planning is of paramount importance in core instruction as it provides a roadmap for effective teaching and learning. It allows educators to carefully consider the learning objectives, instructional strategies, and assessment methods that will best support student achievement.
In these sessions, participants will learn how to leverage the power of Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) to enhance their lesson planning process in math while incorporating Universal Design for Learning (UDL) principles. In these first sessions we will focus on using Chat GPT for supporting the planning and delivery of core instruction.

Overall, these three one-hour sessions will empower participants to leverage ChatGPT and UDL principles to strengthen instructional coherence in mathematics. They will gain the confidence and understanding needed to design and implement engaging and inclusive mathematics lessons, providing personalized support to students while promoting independent problem-solving and a deep understanding of mathematical concepts.

Erma Anderson
Erma Anderson is a former high school mathematics and physics teacher and Albert Einstein Distinguished Fellow the United States Senate. As a Senior Program Officer with the Research Council, she assisted in the development of the National Science Education Standards. She is a Christa McAulliffe Fellow with the National Foundation for Improvement of Education and was a consultant with the Council for Basic Education's Schools Around the World Project, developing and implementing a protocol and series of professional development experiences that used student work to enhance the teaching and learning of mathematics and science. More recently she has been a consultant with international schools and the AERO Mathematics and Science project.
