Welcome to the Madelia High School Counseling Office!

I am excited to be starting my fourth year as the School Counselor for Madelia Schools. I primarily work with students in grades 7-12. As a MHS alum, I love working in the community where I grew up! I  am also co-teaching the REACH program, am the District Assessment Coordinator, manage online classes through our Aventa program and am the District 504 Plan Coordinator.

Prior to MHS, I served two years as an AmeriCorps member working around the country and was a counselor for a year at New Ulm Cathedral. I earned my Undergraduate Degree in Psychology from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities and my Graduate Degree in Professional School Counseling from Minnesota State University, Mankato. I am also a National Certified Counselor and am working towards gaining more experience in mental health counseling.

In my free time I enjoy spending time with my husband and furry children which now include 13 chickens, running adventure races, traveling, and gardening and home remodeling. I look forward to working with students, families and our community again this year!

I welcome parent phone calls and emails. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have questions or need resources to help support your son or daughter.
